The Ruzobe Family
We are a family based in Norway and Canada, but originally from Burundi, the Heart of Africa. After years abroad, we traveled to Burundi the summer of 2008. We realized that Burundi had suffered tremendously of years of one-party rule and a devastating civil war.
Although Burundi, and especially Bujumbura, is developing after the civil war, the situation is still severe for the Burundians living in rural areas.
We created in January 2013, Ruzobe Projects, a non-profit organization that aims to feed the poorest in Rural Burundi through social entrepreneurship.
Our Mission
Ruzobe projects will have the following tasks:
‐ Finance courses and guidance about agriculture
- Provide financial help to support the women’s own projects
Our Vision
Ruzobe Projects wants to help women in Gashoho and Bujumbura to financial independence, so that they do not have to rely on aid
